Hospital Assistant – St Luke's & St Vincent's Hospital, Launceston

About the role

Provide support and assistance to all personnel within the organisation in meeting the needs of internal and external customers under the direct supervision of the nursing staff.

Your main duties will include:
  • Assist patients to theatre and appointments within the hospital, aiding nurses with patient care.
  • Aid nurses with patient care where appropriate.
  • Complete housekeeping tasks.
About you:
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to build relationships with all stakeholders
  • Willing to undertake Certificate in Basic Life Support
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
  • Willing to undertake Manual Handling training
  • Hold a current First Aid certificate
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Keyboard skills, knowledge of PC-based systems, and data entry ability
  • Tasmanian working with vulnerable people registration
