Logistics Operations Associate Manager, Full Time Position

Salary : $120,000-$130,000 + car allowance + superannuation

About the Role :

The Associate Manager, Logistics Operations – ANZ oversees logistics operations across Australia and New Zealand, focusing on warehouse management and secondary transportation. The role ensures exceptional customer service at the lowest operational cost while maintaining compliance with all regulations and standards.

Acting as the key interface between SC Johnson and logistics service providers (LSPs), the role drives continuous improvement, cost-efficiency, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of Lean principles to support strategic distribution and enhance logistics capabilities in the region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Manage LSP(s) / 3PL to meet budget and KPIs. Lead performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee inbound/outbound logistics, inventory accuracy, and warehouse safety compliance.
2. Oversee daily operations of 3PL-managed warehouses across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring compliance with transport regulations and FMCG handling requirements.
3. Achieve budget targets and identify cost-saving opportunities through sustainable improvements without compromising service quality.
4. Lead risk assessments and contingency planning for supply chain disruptions.
5. Manage relationships with stakeholders including Business, International Transport, Inventory, Finance, and Planning teams.
6. Deploy global network modeling tools and optimize routes to market.
7. Develop operational capabilities and partner with Customer Supply Chain to meet business priorities.
8. Provide analysis and insights into logistics performance and business impact.

What You'll Bring :

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in warehouse operations and LSP management, preferably in FMCG with 3PL experience.
• Deep knowledge of demand and supply chain principles and 3PL management.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to build strong partnerships and foster collaboration.
• Experience with Lean practices; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.
• Understanding of import/export logistics, freight forwarding, and dangerous goods regulations.
• Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan).
• Exceptional MS Excel skills.
• Understanding of ANZ logistics regulations and market dynamics.
