About the candidate:

In this new role we are looking for someone with capability to perform routine day to day accounting functions and support the finance team more broadly. This role could suit an experienced accounts person, a tafe graduate or even someone looking to compliment their studies at University. You could be looking to re-enter the workforce or looking for a finance role with flexibility, we are interested in some different options with this position. Experience with Payroll would be an advantage, but above all attention to detail, a can do attitude and a willingness to learn.

Primary Responsibilities will include:

Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting

Post accruals and journal entries

Assist with the reconciliation of accounts and general ledge

Assist with appropriate period-end activities in accordance with the financial close schedules

Assist with board committee packet preparation

Update existing financial models, providing financial forecasts and operational metrics tracking

Provide Information to assist with the forecast of revenues and expenditures.

Perform routine accounts functions

This role is required to train and develop into the backup to Payroll
