You will be joining a motivated and high performing team. Based in our Perth office and reporting to the Group Manager - Project Delivery, the Project Controller works closely with our Project Managers & Engineers to implement sensible, honest and robust Project Management methodology to project planning, execution, reporting and change control, in line with Client and Business stakeholder expectations. This is a critical role in a growing business where continuous improvement and innovative ideas are encouraged and acted on.
As the Project Controller, you will:
- Assist with maintenance of the business' Project Management systems, tools & procedures
- Plan, implement & manage project Cost Control systems
- Plan, implement & manage project Schedules
- Provide regular and accurate reports to Project Managers, the Project Services Lead, and other internal & external business stakeholders
- The preparation of annual budgets, monthly financial analysis and invoicing
The Person
You will be a highly self-motivated individual, ideally with strong commercial experience in a Project Delivery environment (ideally Engineering & Design) and bring to the role:
- An ability to learn, assess problems, and identify potential solutions
- Previous experience in a financial role desirable but not mandatory
- An aptitude with computers and tools (particularly data manipulation and interrogation) to operate quickly and efficiently
- An ability to quickly learn new software, or adapt existing software to meet Project and Business needs
- Strong skills with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project and / or Primavera P6
- Experience in using ERP software is desirable (Verbrec uses Workday)
- A strong moral compass, as evidenced by your honesty, care and respect for others and willingness to share and learn
- An ability to clearly communicate with stakeholders; being able to present information in a suitable format depending on the audience
