We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager based in Perth for large-scale Transmission and Distribution projects. This role is key to managing cost, schedule, and performance controls, ensuring successful execution of complex projects. The Project Controls Manager will provide oversight, reporting, and guidance to support on-time and on-budget delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of project controls systems, processes, and tools to support cost, schedule, risk, and progress management.
  • Oversee the preparation of project budgets, forecasts, and baseline schedules in alignment with contract requirements.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, analysing variances and identifying corrective actions to maintain cost and schedule objectives.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to project leadership on project controls risks, trends, and opportunities.
  • Manage project change control processes, ensuring accurate evaluation of variations, claims, and impacts on cost and schedule.
  • Lead project reporting to internal and external stakeholders, delivering clear and accurate performance data.
  • Develop and mentor project controls teams, fostering capability growth and alignment with best practice.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
Required Experience
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Controls Manager (or similar senior project controls role) within the energy, or resources sectors.
  • Proven expertise in cost control, planning, scheduling, risk management, and project performance reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls systems and software (e.g., Primavera P6, Prism, EcoSys, or similar).
  • Experience in managing project controls for large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with commercial frameworks, contracts, and reporting requirements for major projects.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
