About the team

This branch is responsible for managing all relationships with external Departments, Agencies and organisations and provides strategic financial services across the department.

About the role

Lead, supervise and develop officers across multiple finance teams and provide strategic and technical advice on financial operational matters.

Duties
  • Provide expertise and technical knowledge in Accounting.
  • Undertake research, interpret and apply legislative requirements.
  • Build and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Respond to enquiries, provide assistance and factual advice in a timely manner.
  • Manage prioritisation of own workloads and those of team.
  • Utilise financial analysis tools and systems.
  • Update and maintain Policies and Procedures and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Preparation and approval of end of month processes.
Qualifications
  • At least five years experience across finance operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Diploma or degree in accounting, business or finance.
