At the City of Armadale, we're looking for someone like you someone who's not just operationally sharp, but deeply committed to better outcomes for people, the environment, and the future of recovery in Western Australia.

We're upgrading how we do things investing in energy recovery, improving safety and compliance, building a high-performing, cross-trained team, and leading a cultural shift across our waste and sustainability operations.

But we need the right person to lead it. Is that you?

This isn't your average waste leadership role.

You'll be leading day-to-day operations at the Hopkinson Road Landfill & Recycling Facility but more than that, you'll:

  • Guide a committed crew through transformation and growth
  • Own and influence environmental and WHS compliance on site
  • Oversee hazardous waste, community reuse shop, recovery activities and audits
  • Bring a leadership lens to asset planning, service improvements and budget strategy
  • Be a key player in the City's long-term sustainability and resource recovery vision

You're Someone Who...
  • Has strong operational leadership experience in waste, environment, or recovery
  • Is naturally systems-minded with a head for compliance, people, and practical problem-solving
  • Wants to do more than maintain you're here to lead and improve
  • Believes in safe, inclusive, high-performing workplaces and brings others along with you
  • Has the communication skills to partner well with customers, Councillors, contractors, and crews
