The role: Trade Sales Assistant

Are you ready to take the first step in your career? At Lyndons, we see this role as a great starting point for someone who's eager to learn and ready to build valuable experience in customer service and sales. As a Trade Sales Assistant, your main focus will be helping customers with their questions, learning about products, processing orders, and keeping the trade counter area clean and organised. No experience? That's okay, we will provide full training to help you succeed

This position will be based at our Townsville branch.

Responsibilities Include

Operations
  • Greet and assist customers as the first point of contact at the trade counter
  • Help answer enquiries about products, prices, stock and orders
  • Learn how to identify customer needs and offer helpful solutions
  • Support the team in creating quotes and processing sales
  • Keep your workspace clean, tidy, and stocked
  • Learn about our products and services through on-the-job training
  • Work as part of a small, friendly team focused on great customer service
  • Update customer details and basic info in our computer system (training provided)

Workplace Health and Safety

Take responsibilities on behalf of the organisation, but must also comply with requirements as workers, including:
  • Ensure a safe working environment exists for team members and customers
  • Ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures
  • Maintain relevant knowledge of WHS issues
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviour

Ideally You Will Have

To be considered for this role you will need:
  • Friendly and confident talking to customers
  • Willing to learn and follow instructions
  • Punctual, reliable, and takes pride in their work
  • A team player with a great attitude
  • Interested in a career in retail, trade or construction supply
