The Opportunity

We are seeking a community-minded Branch Team Leader for our Creative Communities team. This role offers the chance to shape the future of library services in Maribyrnong, ensuring our branch provides exceptional experiences that promote learning, creativity, and connection in a welcoming environment.

About You

We seek someone with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in librarianship, information management, or a related field, with eligibility for ALIA membership.
  • Experience leading, motivating, and coaching teams in customer service environments.
  • Ability to adapt strategies to meet community needs.
  • Skills in building partnerships with council, services, and the community.
  • Confidence with collections, digital tools, and online resources.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse audiences.
  • Current Victorian driver's license and Working with Children Card.
  • No relevant criminal record.
