The Role

Senior Strategic Planner responsibilities include contributing to housing, heritage and precinct-based planning within a four-year strategic work program. You will provide research, advice and support to bring big ideas to life and work with colleagues across sustainability, transport, housing and statutory planning. The role requires a proactive planner with strong knowledge of the Victorian planning system, experience in planning scheme amendments, and a passion for sustainable, inclusive and well-designed Merri-bek.

Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in urban planning or related discipline
  • Experience in strategic and/or statutory planning
  • Strong knowledge of the Victorian planning system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects and work collaboratively within a team
