About The Role

Ready to make a real impact? Join Merri-bek City Council as a Senior Strategic Planner and help deliver the projects that will shape our city's future. From housing and heritage to precinct-based planning, this role puts you at the heart of city-shaping initiatives, providing the research, advice and support needed to bring big ideas to life.

You'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, working alongside colleagues across sustainability, transport, housing and statutory planning to deliver our four-year strategic work program. We're looking for a proactive planner with strong knowledge of the Victorian planning system, experience in planning scheme amendments, and a passion for creating a sustainable, inclusive, and well-designed Merri-bek.

Skills And Experience Required To Perform The Role
  • Tertiary qualifications in urban planning or related discipline
  • Experience in strategic and/or statutory planning
  • Strong knowledge of the Victorian planning system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects and work collaboratively within a team
