Are you a skilled Pastry Chef ready to shine in our universe? With our business ever-growing, we are seeking Pastry Chefs to join our teams, playing a crucial role in the final decorative stages of our delectable cakes, ensuring quality and presentation that's out of this world

Our Service Chefs are our 'decorative masters', adding the finishing touches that really make our products shine, and ensuring every customer receives the full Black Star Pastry Experience—finishing and garnishing our creations to meet the quality standards our customers expect.

What does the work schedule look like? :

We are hiring for a variety of roles with Full-time, Part-time, and Casual options available. Our shifts typically run between 6:00 am and 3:00 pm, across seven days. We are open to discussing your availability to find a schedule that suits you.

We also have a variety of locations around Sydney, so please consider this when applying.

What do we need from you? :

  • Bring 2-3 years of Pastry Chef experience.
  • Pride in your work and in completing perfect finished products.
  • Experience in a Production Kitchen is a plus.
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Show dedication to customer experience and product quality.
  • Commit to maintaining food safety standards.
  • Handle the fast-paced, high-volume nature of our business while upholding the highest quality and service standards.

A bit about us :

Black Star Pastry started as a boutique patisserie in Newtown in 2008 and has since grown into an established and loved brand. Our claim to fame is the Strawberry Watermelon Cake, a dessert that has taken social media by storm and earned recognition from the New York Times as "the world's most Instagrammed cake".
