Are you a skilled Pastry Chef ready to shine in the culinary universe? Join the Black Star Pastry team at our new Chatswood store and play a crucial role in the final production stages of our delectable cakes, ensuring quality and presentation that's out of this world.

Our Service Chefs are our 'decorative masters' adding the finishing touches that really make our products shine, and ensuring every customer receives the full Black Star Pastry Experience - finishing and garnishing our creations to meet the quality end product our customers have become accustomed to.

What does the work schedule look like?:

Our shifts run between 6:30am and 2:30pm, across seven days but we are open to discussing your availability and finding a schedule that suits you.

What do we need from you?:
  • Bring 2-3 years of Pastry Chef experience to the table.
  • Having had experience in a Production Kitchen is a plus.
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Show dedication to customer experience and product quality.
  • Commit to maintaining food safety standards.
  • Handle the fast-paced, high-volume nature of a production kitchen while upholding the highest quality and service standards.

Black Star Pastry started as a boutique patisserie in Newtown in 2008 and has since grown into an established and loved brand. Our claim to fame is the Strawberry Watermelon Cake, a dessert that has taken social media by storm and earned recognition from the New York Times as "the world's most Instagrammed cake".
