About the Role

Prana Spa sits under the umbrella of Prana House in Thornbury, a holistic wellness centre. As a Spa Practitioner, you will be providing a range of massage and facial treatments using Ikou organic skin care products.

We are looking for therapists seeking somewhere to offer a premium and uniquely meditative experience to complement our yoga and holistic wellness offerings. We are looking to establish a level of service so that our guests leave feeling a sense of bliss, relaxed, refreshed and renewed. You will ensure each treatment room you use is replenished & cleaned up after each treatment and maintain the high-quality space ready to welcome the next client.Part of the role will involve building a loyal repeat clientele through regular re-bookings as well as some retailing of our skin, lifestyle and body product range as part of our client offering.

About you

• Formal Beauty qualification (Certificate IV, Diploma of Beauty Therapy or Advanced Diploma of Dermal
• Therapy/Science) and/or Holistic Facials qualification
• Minimum one year of work experience, preferably in a spa setting
• Ability to conduct both facials and massage including pregnancy massage (which is a must)
• Can take initiative and be autonomous
• A gentle and friendly demeanour & people-oriented individual with the ability to work solo or as part of a team.
• Available to work evenings and weekends.
• Punctual, organised and immaculate presentation
• Ability to drive retail sales within the spa operation
• Previous freelance/contractor experience preferred but not essential
• A passion for creating extraordinary experiences
• Ability to thoroughly consult and tailor treatments to specific contraindications or precautions
• Beneficial - it would be a wonderful bonus if you bring other offerings to your service such as Reiki, sound healing, breathwork etc which our other practitioners provide in consultation with our clients
