Overview

We are seeking Environmental Services Assistants to work across operating suites at Wollongong Private Hospital. These are permanent part-time positions on a 7-day rotating roster. The role supports a high standard of cleanliness in the operating theatres and contributes to quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in operating theatres
  • Clean, restock and store all equipment used on shifts in the appropriate storage areas
  • Uphold infection control standards by adhering to standard protocols and any additional precautions
  • Dispose of soiled general and clinical waste
  • Work in a friendly and supportive manner at all times
  • Maintain communication with nursing staff and other stakeholders to support quality clinical outcomes
  • Report to the Hotel Services Manager and work with the Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of patient care aligns with hospital values
Skills And Experience
  • Punctual, reliable and committed to genuine, friendly customer service
  • Previous experience in a hospital environment is advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
  • Compliance with Workplace Health and Safety and Infection Control
  • Experience in cleaning services
  • Team player who works well in a large team
  • Attention to detail and pride in work
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively while following instructions and infection prevention controls
  • Availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster

Requirements
  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
