Overview

Join to apply for the Primary Coordinator role at St Therese's Primary School, New Lambton. We are a Permanent Full-Time position for 2026, focused on guiding and supporting a holistic, inclusive learning experience for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

As Primary Coordinator, you'll lead, inspire, and collaborate with staff, families, and the wider community to deliver high-quality teaching and learning, with a focus on enrichment and extension opportunities to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Position Description

The Primary Coordinator works with the school leadership team to promote the school as a place of learning and excellence. As a member of the school leadership team, you assist students in making sense of their world, making informed decisions, and acting with integrity. Across the school they will:

  • Develop, implement and oversee the school's strategic learning initiatives
  • Support monitoring and review of school improvement initiatives
  • Support monitoring and review of school compliance
  • Lead, model and support ongoing development, implementation and oversight of quality teaching programs and learning outcomes
  • Model and promote contemporary and innovative pedagogical practices
  • Contribute to a culture of collegiality and reflective practices
  • Support individuals in identifying new learning experiences to support continued professional development
  • Know their students and strive to provide engaging learning that supports student wellbeing
Experience / Criteria
  • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and commitment to Catholic education and actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school
  • Ability to promote and support staff to develop innovative and effective teaching and learning practices
  • Demonstrated management and administrative skills to ensure assessment, and teaching and learning programs operate effectively and efficiently
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively utilise data to optimise outcomes, think strategically, and support the Leadership Team in leading the school's mission
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills to develop and sustain constructive relationships within and beyond the school community
  • Demonstrated experience in leading successful school initiatives (Desirable)
Qualifications
  • Four-year trained teacher classification with at least four years of successful teaching experience
  • NESA Teacher Accreditation
  • Working with Children Clearance
  • Completion of anaphylaxis training
  • Postgraduate study in education (e.g., Master of Educational Leadership, Theology) (Desirable)
  • Working towards Highly Accomplished or Lead Teaching Standards (Desirable)
Conditions of Employment

Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
