Do you have a passion for creating seamless, secure, and standards-based healthcare systems? We are seeking a Head of Interoperability Platforms to lead our digital transformation journey. You will report directly to the National Director Healthcare Platforms and take end-to-end accountability for our integration and interoperability services. Your responsibility will be to ensure the seamless and secure flow of information between St Vincent's clinical, operational, and partner systems.

This is a Permanent Full Time position based at any of our Group Head Offices in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne, with a hybrid working arrangement — 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. The role may require availability outside standard hours for escalations and interstate travel on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.

Key responsibilities of the role:

1. Develop and govern our enterprise-wide digital and data strategies, ensuring scalable, secure, and sustainable technology solutions.
2. Advocate for national standards to align initiatives with privacy legislation and our 2030 strategic goals.
3. Oversee the lifecycle of integration platforms, including Enterprise Patient Master Index (EMPI) and API Management Platforms.
4. Implement robust change, release, and operational support practices (e.g., HL7, FHIR), ensuring standards are met.
5. Build strong relationships with clinical, operational, and digital stakeholders; manage vendor and government relationships; represent St Vincent's in national forums and industry groups.
6. Lead, coach, and mentor a team of specialists and project officers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
7. Manage annual CapEx/OpEx budgets, conduct demand and capacity planning, and perform cost-benefit analyses.
8. Ensure project delivery aligns with enterprise architecture, priorities, and governance.
9. Oversee daily support operations, including incident and problem management, to maintain service continuity.

• Strong knowledge of digital health standards like HL7 and FHIR, with experience in enterprise systems such as EMPI and API platforms.
• Experience developing and governing enterprise digital and data strategies.
• Exceptional communication skills to build relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
• Experience managing large budgets with a good understanding of cost-benefit analysis.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
