Tucked away in the quiet streets of North Perth, Kyilla Primary School (PS) is a vibrant and inclusive Independent Public School with 360 children. Children are at the core of our decision-making processes. The Role

Kyilla PS is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and energetic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join their team of teachers.

The successful applicant should ideally be highly motivated, innovative and positive in the promotion of Physical Education within the school and will be responsible for the coordination and organisation of all school sporting events. The successful applicant will ideally be well organised, motivated and committed to developing positive relationships and high expectations for all students. Ideally, they will possess excellent knowledge and understanding in the Physical and Health Education learning area of the Western Australian Curriculum and reporting schedule. Data literacy in this area will be highly valued.

This role includes teaching students from Year 1 to Year 6.

Kyilla PS is looking for a PE Teacher who ideally has a growth mindset, enjoys working with others, and always considers the social and emotional needs of children. Kyilla is a close-knit community where each child is known well and families work in partnership with the school.

The successful applicant will ideally have excellent behaviour management skills and be able to build strong relationships with children and their parents. The school community enjoys school sporting events and there is a high level of support from families. Teachers at Kyilla support the continued implementation of the school's culture and vision through the current Business Plan. Teachers implement school-wide practices that meet the needs of our students and foster an environment that promotes student success. These practices include Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), the Quality Teaching Strategy and Teaching for Impact, Classroom Management Strategies and Instructional Strategies for Engagement. All specialist teachers are valued members of the wider teaching team.
