About the role
Permanent full-time opportunity to provide expert clinical knowledge and care for consumers/patients with various conditions. Support the general function of the unit through role modelling and application of principles of evidence-based, consumer/patient-focused care, education, leadership, and portfolio management. This role will also provide support and guidance to Registered Nurses and other non-registered nursing staff in complex situations.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be able to fulfill the following key responsibilities in line with Metro North Health's values:
- Perform duties according to Schedule 2, Nurses, and Midwives (Queensland Health Award GLS Nurse Grade 6 Band 1, and adhere to Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values to achieve organizational goals and practice domains.
- Practice ethically and professionally, complying with relevant standards and legislation, maintaining current knowledge within the scope of practice.
- Apply advanced clinical nursing skills, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Respond effectively to sudden changes in patient health status, providing support and direction using advanced assessment and intervention skills.
