Operator / Mechanical Maintenance Operator

WAPRES is a leading plantation manager, wood-fibre processor and exporter in the South-West of WA, operating for nearly 50 years. We are currently seeking 2 x motivated and team orientated individuals to join our Bunbury Port and Preston operations.

This permanent fulltime position provides excellent job security and diversity. Good remuneration and working conditions are on offer.

Operator

Your essential skills will be operating heavy modern mobile plant equipment including wheel loaders, excavators, telehandler, screening plants, static and mobile chippers as well as ship loading duties. Ideally you will have log handling experience in a similar role however training will be provided for those candidates who can demonstrate a willingness to learn.

Mechanical Maintenance Operator

Your essential skills will be to have a strong mechanical fitting background. You'll be required to undertake repairs and general maintenance of chip mills, debarking drums, conveyor systems, screening plants and the ship loader. Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter highly regarded, but those with the right skillset and a can-do attitude are urged to apply. This position will also be required to contribute to the operation of the chip mill and ship loading duties during periods of high demand.

Applicants will need to demonstrate a proactive attitude to workplace safety and will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen.

Penalty rates apply after 38 hours and are paid on a weekly basis. Work will involve weekend work as well as the requirement for overtime work, essential to meet the needs of our customers. Will have the potential to earn minimum of $110K per annum.
