  • Working arrangements : Potential Hybrid set up
  • Location : Brisbane CBD
  • Pay rate : $49.40 / hour + Super

Hudson is proud to partner with a Queensland Government department to recruit a motivated Assistant Finance Officer for a 3-month contract opportunity. This role offers a chance to work within a high-performing finance team that supports critical housing and loan programs across the state.

This opportunity is ideal for finance or accounts support professionals with strong SAP and reconciliation experience, who want to contribute to services that make a real difference to Queensland communities.

About the Role

As an Assistant Finance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations for Housing Services Programs. Your responsibilities will include processing tenancy and loan refunds, perform reconciliations, and maintain accurate records in support of General Ledger and housing loan systems. You will contribute to effective service delivery and financial compliance across the division.

Key Responsibilities :

Process daily Tenancy, Bond Loan, and Home Loan refunds and manage related correspondencePrepare and enter financial transactions including journals, accruals, and reconciliationsMonitor suspense accounts, identify variances, and ensure timely resolutionProvide financial support using systems such as Reside, Bondscape, and LoanscapeConduct debt reviews and process credit transfers or adjustments as neededManage document storage, retrieval, and compliance with departmental record-keepingpracticesCompile balance sheet reconciliations for General Ledger accounts

About You :

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate :

Knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn processes relating to Rental Accounts, Bond Loans, and Housing LoansExperience working with financial systems, with a preference for SAP ECC6Strong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilitiesUnderstanding of Queensland Government financial policies and procedures (desirable)
