Our client is a well-established civil contractor with over 40 years of proven success delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across NSW. Known for their solid reputation, family-driven culture, and focus on long-term growth, they are now seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team based out of Macquarie Park.

With a secured pipeline of civil earthworks and infrastructure works extending 3–4 years ahead, this is a stable, career-building opportunity for someone who thrives in delivery-focused environments and wants to grow into more senior roles over time.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of civil earthworks projects — including bulk earthworks, road construction, drainage, and associated infrastructure — from start to finish. You'll work closely with Project Managers and Site Supervisors, while also managing subcontractors and ensuring quality, safety, and program targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day project activities including site inspections, safety compliance, and QA
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, materials, and suppliers
• Track project progress against program timelines and assist in reporting to senior management
• Review project drawings, scopes, and specifications to support planning and execution
• Ensure accurate project documentation including ITPs, RFIs, variations, and site diaries
• Identify and resolve site issues quickly to minimise disruption
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and client-side representatives to maintain delivery standards

What We're Looking For

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Subcontractor management experience is essential
• Ideally has worked with Tier 2 or Tier 3 civil contractors in Australia
• Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and quality management systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Full Australian working rights preferred – however, sponsorship will be considered for exceptional candidates
