With a secured pipeline of civil earthworks and infrastructure works extending 3–4 years ahead, this is a stable, career-building opportunity for someone who thrives in delivery-focused environments and wants to grow into more senior roles over time.
About the Role You'll be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of civil earthworks projects — including bulk earthworks, road construction, drainage, and associated infrastructure — from start to finish.
You'll work closely with Project Managers and Site Supervisors, while also managing subcontractors and ensuring quality, safety, and program targets are met.
Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day project activities including site inspections, safety compliance, and QACoordinate and manage subcontractors, materials, and suppliers Track project progress against program timelines and assist in reporting to senior management Review project drawings, scopes, and specifications to support planning and execution Ensure accurate project documentation including ITPs, RFIs, variations, and site diaries Identify and resolve site issues quickly to minimise disruption Work collaboratively with internal teams and client-side representatives to maintain delivery standards What We're Looking For Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management Subcontractor management experience is essential Ideally has worked with Tier 2 or Tier 3 civil contractors in Australia Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and quality management systems Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Full Australian working rights preferred – however, sponsorship will be considered for exceptional candidates What's in it for You Permanent, long-term role in a business with a solid project pipeline Structured development plan and clear promotional pathway from Day 1 Work with a supportive, experienced leadership team who invest in their people Be part of a reputable contractor with over 40 years in the industry Competitive salary package based on experience Sponsorship options available for the right candidate If you're a driven Project Engineer ready to take the next step in your career with a business that truly values its people — we want to hear from you.
