Overview

John Forrest Secondary College (SC) is seeking outstanding Science teachers who have a deep understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and a strong commitment to high-impact teaching practices that drive improved student outcomes.

Suitable applicants should ideally be experienced in designing and delivering engaging, well-structured learning experiences that promote creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. Experience teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or General courses is highly regarded. Suitable applicants would ideally believe in the potential of every student to succeed, use evidence-based teaching strategies, and show commitment to reflective practice and continuous growth. They should be skilled at providing differentiated and relevant learning opportunities for diverse learners.

Applicants would join a progressive and collaborative Science department actively involved in implementing a whole-school approach to educational programs. They would contribute positively to team environments, build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and families, and actively support a culture of professional development and shared responsibility for student success.
