About the Role

  • Location:Launceston
    • Type:Full-Time role
    • Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
    • Focus:Empowering individuals to build skills, gain confidence, and secure employment

As a Career Coach, you'll work closely with participants to identify their goals, build job-readiness, and celebrate every success along the way. You'll also collaborate with local employers to create inclusive job opportunities and carve out meaningful roles.

You'll report to theCommunity Engagement and Skills Development Supervisorand play a key role in planning, coordinating, and monitoring participant progress.

  • A positive, confident attitude and a passion for helping others
  • Experience delivering innovative, person-centred support in the disability sector
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate, mentor, and lead by example
  • A knack for building strong community and employer networks

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant Certificate-level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Background in employment support, ideally using 'place and train' models
  • Experience supervising teams and working independently
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills

Desirable Extras

  • Experience in both Disability and Youth Services
  • Established community networks in the Launceston area
  • Strong IT, written, and communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm and make informed decisions under pressure

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • National Police Check
  • Full, unrestricted Driver's Licence
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
