We're currently seeking qualified Mechanical Tradespeople to join our Newcastle team. This is a full-time permanent role with a competitive salary package and strong work-life balance—whether you prefer variety or routine, you'll have options.

About the Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager and working across customer sites (including mining, quarry, smelting, and power generation), your key responsibilities will include:

Performing daily mechanical maintenance tasks

Ensuring plant and equipment are safe and reliable

Leading, mentoring, and coordinating trades teams and belt splicers

Carrying out pulley and bearing maintenance

Liaising with clients and managing expectations onsite

Conducting inspections, audits, and reporting to WHSE standards

Supporting the training and development of team members

What We're Looking For

Certificate of Proficiency in Engineering – Mechanical or Engineering – Fabrication

Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting

Dogging and Rigging tickets

Ability to work independently and lead small teams

Strong communication and client liaison skills

A safety-first mindset with WHSE experience

Comfortable mentoring less experienced staff
