Welcome to Eden Academy Pakenham, where we are a child safe organisation committed to the safety, wellbeing, and empowerment of all children.

Operating from 7:00am to 6:30pm, we are looking for an experienced Kitchen Hand, with Educator experience highly regarded, to join our team working Monday to Friday, supporting our 110 children for 3-4 hours in the kitchen and the rest of the day in our vibrant rooms.

We'd love to welcome someone who brings warmth, joy, and positive energy into everything they do You'll be a valued helper in the kitchen alongside our Chef and a support for our Educators during break relief. You'll help create a nurturing, fun environment where children and educators thrive.

Ideally, we seek someone happy to support our Chef in the kitchen and with Educator experience to assist in rooms with break reliefs.

As Our New Kitchen Hand, You Will
  • Support our talented chef in preparing healthy, delicious meals
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team
  • Support children's health and wellbeing through nutritious food
  • Build positive relationships with staff, families, and children
  • Be able to lift 15kg and handle heavy equipment
  • Complete temperature checks and understand food hygiene
  • Be familiar with allergies and nutrition needs for children
  • Be available to work Monday to Friday
What You'll Bring
  • Food Handling Certificate and Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education (or working towards)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Understanding of dietary requirements and food sensitivities
  • Australian Working Rights
  • Impeccable personal presentation
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday
