The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. You will work on the X10 FAA project, which is Frequentis' innovative voice communication solution based on a state-of-the-art service-oriented architecture, facilitating the transition of pure ATM-based voice communications to Unified Aeronautical Communications for the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). Operating on the Frequentis MosaiX platform, it can be integrated with other technologies from the Frequentis portfolio to deliver operational benefits.

Key Tasks
  • Participate in the daily work of a scrum team consisting of 5 software developers and 2 test automation engineers.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of the product.
  • Write code following company processes and standards.
  • Develop unit and component tests.
  • Support QA in testing and developing automated system tests.
  • Create documentation and requirements.
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of software development experience in Java.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented concepts, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
  • Passionate about clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
  • Experience with SOA and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with REST, messaging/AMQP, WebSockets.
  • Understanding of distributed systems concepts (CAP theorem, redundancy, high availability, consensus protocols, etc.).
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery processes.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting.
  • IP networking knowledge.
  • Experience with Domain Driven Design is a plus.
  • Experience with database systems, including NoSQL, is a plus.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
