Duration: - 12 Months (Possible Extension Up to a maximum of 24 Months)

Location: - Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, or Adelaide (Hybrid)

Estimated Start Date: - Tuesday, 01 July 2025

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst for a long-term contract with a Federal Government Client.

Required Skills

  • Acceptance testing: Level 4 (SFIA): - Develops acceptance criteria related to functional and non-functional requirements, business processes, features, user stories, and business rules. Designs, specifies, and executes test cases and scenarios to verify systems, products, and services meet acceptance criteria and deliver business benefits. Collaborates with project teams and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Analyzes and reports on test activities, results, issues, and risks.
  • Methods and tools: Level 4 (SFIA): - Provides guidance on adopting methods and tools, ensuring adherence to policies and standards. Tailors processes according to standards and evaluates methods and tools for effectiveness.
  • Quality assurance: Level 3 (SFIA): - Contributes to evidence collection and conducts audits or reviews to ensure testing and quality activities are performed. Checks records for compliance, identifies non-conformances, and reports findings.
  • Testing: Level 5 (SFIA): - Plans and manages testing activities across all development stages. Provides expert advice on test planning and execution. Uses appropriate testing methods and tools, monitors standards, assesses risks, and recommends improvements.
  • User experience evaluation: Level 3 (SFIA): - Evaluates design options and prototypes to gather user feedback. Tests usability and accessibility, records data, analyzes results, and suggests enhancements. Checks systems for compliance with standards and legislation.
  • Prior experience within government or similar large-scale organization is preferred.
  • Business situation analysis: Level 3 (SFIA): - Investigates straightforward business situations to identify problems and opportunities, following standards and engaging stakeholders.
  • Quality management: Level 4 (SFIA): - Assists in developing and improving practices, processes, and standards. Supports quality planning and implements improvements.
  • Specialist advice: Level 4 (SFIA): - Provides detailed advice on their area of expertise, maintains knowledge, and collaborates with other specialists as needed.

Visa Status and Security Clearance

  • Candidates must be Australian Citizens
  • Candidates must have Baseline Security Clearance

Special Conditions

  • Work from the Client's location full-time for the first 6 weeks. Work-from-home may be considered case-by-case, but a minimum of three days per week onsite is standard.
  • Other locations will not be accepted.
