About The Opportunity
Lorrex Contracting a division of the iContracting Group, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to join our team due to new long-term projects kicking off.
- Roster: 8/6 day shift only
- Environment: mining load and haul
- Extensive supervisory experience in mining or bulk earthworks
- Experience maintaining Caterpillar and Komatsu earthmoving equipment, including HD785-7 rigid dump trucks and CAT992K loaders
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role within the mining environment
- Strong safety-focused approach to work
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Effective communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead, develop, and mentor crews
- HR License - desirable
- White Card - essential
- Australian Working Rights - essential
As the Maintenance Superintendent, reporting to the Project Manager and managing workshop personnel, you will:
- Mentor and manage workshop HD fitters, servicemen, and subcontractors as required
- Ensure safe maintenance practices while meeting daily KPI targets, managing both planned and unplanned events
- Conduct daily pre-start and toolbox meetings
- Identify and resolve maintenance-related issues with the project team
- Maintain high safety standards and lead by example to encourage safe work practices
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and specifications, and implement client requirements
