Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Role

This role requires a skilled and experienced heavy vehicle mechanic to undertake diagnostics, maintenance, services, repairs, rebuilds, and breakdowns on a range of Kenworth and DAF trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment.

About the Position

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards and that any issues are diagnosed and repaired promptly. You will also be required to assist with the training and development of junior staff members and participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose faults and repair or replace components as necessary
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and filter replacements
  • Assist with the training and development of junior staff members
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A heavy vehicle mechanic qualification or equivalent experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment
