Remote is seeking a Product Manager to join the team in Home Affairs. The Product Manager will have a deep understanding of customers' needs and will be responsible for ensuring that the product meets those needs and expectations. The role requires navigating complex stakeholder relationships, complying with regulations and laws, and working in a transparent and accountable environment. The focus will be on the product's long-term success and viability, working closely with cross-functional teams to meet both customer needs and business goals. Creativity and resourcefulness are essential in modernising and innovating legacy systems. The role is within the Product Delivery Directorate, responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs. (RFI 31-2526)

Role Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and prioritise product features and requirements based on customer needs and business goals.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap outlining the product's vision, goals, and key milestones.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers and development teams, to gather input and feedback on product plans.
  • Work with development teams to ensure that product requirements are properly understood and implemented.
  • Monitor product performance and make recommendations for improvements.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in Product Management or related roles, such as Certified Product Manager (CPM) by AIPMM, Product Manager Certification (PMC) by Product School, or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO 1).

Required Knowledge/Experience and Tools:

  • 3+ years of relevant Product Management experience.
  • Ability to create product roadmaps, define product vision, and align strategy with business goals and customer needs.
  • Effective prioritisation of tasks and features based on value and impact.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise the product backlog.
  • Understanding of technical aspects of product development, including software development, architecture, and infrastructure.

Highly Desirable:

  • Proficiency with Product Management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Familiarity with government processes, policies, and regulatory requirements.
