Overview

Carer - Elderslie at BaptistCare Glendale Lodge, a brand-new aged care home located in the Macarthur region of Sydney. The home features 96 private bedrooms with a home-style model designed for warmth and meaningful relationships.

The Role

As a Carer, you'll enhance residents' lives through compassionate and respectful care. You'll build personal connections, uphold their dignity and work closely with our supportive care team to deliver attentive and consistent service.

Duties
  • Demonstrating kindness and respect for the resident's dignity as you assist with personal and daily care and activities of interest in accordance with care plans (which may include showering, shaving, storing clothes, general cleaning, assistance with meals, and general movements throughout the day)
  • Assistance with activities under supervision
  • Working with each resident to continue to do the things they love
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Hold a Certificate III in Aged Care Work or undertaking Undergraduate Registered Nurse training
  • Be physically able to carry out required duties in a safe and efficient manner
  • Have basic technology/computer skills and a willingness to take part in ongoing education
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Genuine desire to help others
  • Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare's Christian identity and promote the organisation's values through interactions at work
