The Company

Our client is a large, well-capitalised, and high-profile National Healthcare provider with an extensive network of state-of-the-art private hospitals and medical facilities that service every state and territory.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the fixed asset register, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting. This role is suited to a proactive individual who thrives on ownership and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register
  • Prepare monthly and year-end journals and reports relating to fixed assets, depreciation, and capital work in progress (CWIP)
  • Assist with capital budgeting and forecasting
  • Liaise with operational teams to track asset acquisitions, disposals, and movements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., AASB 116)
  • Support internal and external audit processes
  • Recommend and implement process and system improvements related to asset management

The Successful Candidate

  • CA / CPA qualified (or near completion)
  • Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting principles and standards
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
