Role Details

This full-time ongoing position (part-time applications considered) is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country. Salary range is $90,871 – $101,868 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging, with up to $15,900 in salary packaging and a hybrid WFH & office model.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality legal services, including duty lawyer support, casework, and advice, while advocating for clients across various courts and tribunals.
  • Engage with the community, contribute to legal education, and take part in law reform projects.
  • Collaborate with a motivated and supportive team and contribute to process improvements to enhance client service.
About You

As Our Ideal Candidate, You Will Possess

  • Demonstrated ability to act as an advocate, deliver legal advice and casework, and undertake negotiation and dispute resolution on behalf of clients in family law, family violence, and other related areas of law.
  • Knowledge or practical experience in relevant law and procedure with a focus on one or more of family law, family violence and/or child protection.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills and ability to liaise with clients, staff and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and foster a cooperative team environment.
