The Role

We are looking for a dynamic Pricing and Forecasting Manager to join our team and drive sustainable growth in the renewables sector.
Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Strategy and Analytics, you will play a crucial role in optimizing pricing strategies and energy market forecasts.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative pricing strategies for renewable energy products and services.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for price optimization and differentiation.
- Create and refine short-term and long-term energy demand and price forecasting models.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and economic indicators to assess their impact on pricing and market strategies.
- Leverage advanced analytics to interpret energy market data and customer consumption patterns.
- Prepare actionable reports for senior management, including market performance and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with Development, Operations, and Finance teams to align pricing models with business objectives.
- Ensure pricing strategies comply with energy market regulations and sustainability standards.
About you
You will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field. Proven experience in energy markets, pricing strategy, or forecasting. Deep understanding of electricity and renewable energy markets, capacity markets, and carbon trading.
- Expertise in energy pricing mechanisms, including wholesale energy prices, retail rates, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and demand-response pricing.
- In-depth knowledge of dynamic pricing strategies, including cost-plus pricing, value-based pricing, and time-of-use (TOU) tariffs.
- Proficiency in statistical tools and forecasting software (e.g., Python, R, or similar).
- Advanced skills in Excel and data visualisation platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
