This volunteer role supports the delivery of an engaging, brand new LEGO Playland - Farm to City activation within the vibrant, fast-paced event environment of the iconic Melbourne Royal Show. As part of a dynamic onsite team, LEGO Playland Assistants will play a key role in ensuring the space operates efficiently and delivers a memorable experience for all attendees.

Volunteers in this role will assist with the day-to-day execution of the space, helping to maintain presentation standards, guide visitor engagement, and support the broader team in delivering a safe and enjoyable environment for all.

This role is suited to individuals who are enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about live experiences and event environments.

Job Description

LEGO Playland Assistants will contribute across a range of event-based activities including:

  • Supporting the setup, pack-down, and daily maintenance of the activation space
  • Assisting with guest flow, queue management and entry/exit logistics
  • Providing a warm, informed, and enthusiastic welcome to visitors
  • Interacting with visitors and assisting with running engaging challenges
  • Monitoring and reporting any operational or visitor-related issues

  • All volunteers must be 18 years or older and hold a current Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one prior to the event
  • Shifts will take place during the 2025 Melbourne Royal Show, running from Thursday 25 September through to Sunday 5 October between the hours of 9:00am – 6:00pm
  • Uniform or event-specific apparel may be provided and is to be worn throughout all shifts
  • Full briefing and onsite training will be provided prior to the event, and any successful candidates must make themselves available to attend this training in-person
