Salary : Operational Officer Qualified Stream Level 3, $129,211 - $142,460 pa + Super

The Opportunity

As a Standards Monitoring and Quality Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for :

  • Contributing to the development and consolidation of the Standards of service provision applicable to delivery of child protection and out of home care services for the Department.
  • Contributing to the development, implementation and effective operation of quality assurance and standards monitoring systems across the out of home care and service delivery of child protection of the Department. Intrastate travel is required.
  • Monitoring services to assess the compliance of service delivery of child protection with Standards established by the Department, the out of home care service providers and peak bodies.
  • Managing contractors, as and when required, to ensure the systematic monitoring of the Department's child protection and out of home care services across Western Australia.
  • Liaising with staff and external stakeholders to promote the Standards and the monitoring, quality assurance and quality improvement processes.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 12 months across the Department of Communities.

Qualification Requirements

You must have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant human services area to be eligible for this position. All overseas qualifications must be assessed for Australian equivalency.
