Quality Assurance Manager - Medical Technology Management Unit (MTMU)

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our Medical Technology Management Unit (MTMU) and ensure that biomedical equipment across the organisation meets all compliance, safety, and quality standards by supporting equipment lifecycle management and leading Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.

Your ability to collaborate with clinicians, technicians, engineers, procurement teams, and senior leaders, will be key in achieving shared goals and strategic initiatives, such the design, modification, and integration of biomedical and clinical ICT systems, product evaluation and procurement, and clinical research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the Quality Assurance function within MTMU to ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Mentoring your team to deliver high-quality reporting, analysis, and expert advice relating to quality standards across the lifecycle of biomedical and imaging equipment.
  • Monitoring and supporting the equipment inventory and Medical Equipment Replacement Programs (MERP/MIERP).
  • Providing strategic input and expert advice on policy development, service planning, and continuous quality improvement (CQI).
  • Providing technical mentoring and training to staff across MTMU, building capability and nurturing emerging technical leaders.
About Our Team

The Medical Equipment Management Unit provides specialised engineering and technical support for a wide range of biomedical and diagnostic devices. We ensure the availability, safety, and regulatory compliance of equipment throughout its lifecycle, supported by a robust quality assurance framework.

We work closely with clinical teams to integrate medical technologies into care workflows, with a strong focus on the unique and specialised needs of paediatric patients. This includes supporting the custom design, modification, and integration of biomedical and clinical ICT systems.

To support continued excellence, we provide access to specialised equipment for clinical research and innovation, and actively build the capability of clinical and technical staff through training and education to ensure the safe and effective use of medical equipment.
