Job Description
  • Prepare customs clearance declarations for submission to customs, ensuring compliance with national regulations and company policies.
  • Classify and value import and export products accurately for customs clearance.
  • Update system databases with relevant information promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure shipments are cleared within specified timeframes, meeting Key Performance Indicators.
  • Liaise professionally and cordially with internal and external customers.
  • Respond to queries in a timely manner following standard operational procedures.
  • Complete designated training within specified timeframes.
  • Assist with transport operations, including booking deliveries, billing, and accounting.
  • Perform tasks as requested, including assisting in general brokerage operations.
  • Handle all aspects of the role under the supervision of the Brokerage Manager.
Qualifications
  • Australian Customs Brokers License or within 12 months of application.
  • Knowledge of government regulations.
  • Understanding of standard operational procedures for customs import operations.
  • Experience with ICS and third-party systems.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Accounting knowledge.
  • Understanding of international freight shipping terms.
  • Alignment with Expeditors attributes and culture.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including exchange rates, foreign currency, and general ledger management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the movement of goods.
  • Knowledge of road transport operations.
