About the role

Our client - a leading online lender is looking for a strategic, hands-on senior operator to impact and drive meaningful brand growth. You'll lead the next evolution of the brand's voice and market presence, collaborating with senior leadership and external agency partners to ensure the brand is consistently and powerfully expressed across every channel. This is an exciting opportunity to lead brand transformation and evolution in a fast moving and values driven fintech environment.

Role Requirements and Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve the brand identity, ensuring consistency and creativity across all channels
  • Champion a clear and distinct brand voice across advertising, digital, social, and internal platforms
  • Develop and lead brand campaigns, messaging frameworks, and content strategies aligned to business goals
  • Take the lead on PR and communications strategy with external agency support
  • Write and distribute press releases, thought leadership, blogs, and media pitches
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media and industry stakeholders
  • Stay across media and industry trends, providing relevant updates to internal teams
  • Oversee the creation of engaging, relevant content across blogs, social media, video, and partnerships
  • Manage external creative agencies, designers, and content partners to deliver impactful, on-brand work
  • Track and report on brand health, media coverage, and campaign effectiveness
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Identify new opportunities for brand amplification through partnerships, events, and sponsorships
Background and Experience
  • 7+ years working across brand, PR, and communications
  • Strong commercial background with proven delivery of impactful brand and comms strategies
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or other fast-paced industries
  • Confidence engaging with executives and boards, with strong stakeholder management
  • Deep understanding of the Australian media landscape
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and brand positioning skills
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach - someone who gets things done
  • Collaborative, agile, and not afraid to push creative boundaries
