About the Role

The Child and Youth Healthy Minds Program provides free, non-clinical mental health support for children and young people (ages 0-18) and their families. We offer tailored support and flexible outreach options at school, at home, or in the community to promote effective early intervention.

Qualifications
  • An understanding of the processes people utilise to overcome adversity/distress arising from life challenges.
  • An ability to recognise and understand people's intrinsic resourcefulness.
  • Provide support in a manner consistent with Anglicare's values and practice principle.
  • Demonstrate high level of communication and interpersonal skills with people who access our services, family/carers, colleagues, other service providers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to accurately document and maintain records.
  • Demonstrated experience with relevant information and communication technologies.
  • Ability to work autonomously within organisational policy and procedure.
  • A high level of professionalism and a willingness to develop and reflect on professional practice.
  • Ability to work in alignment with Anglicare's workplace principles.
  • Knowledge in a broad range of disabilities and mental health areas and keenness to learn.
What we offer you
  • An attractive salary of $91,567.84-$95,974.32 (full-time equivalent) + Super + Salary sacrifice
  • A 7% Graduate Loading payable where you hold a degree in a relevant discipline

The successful applicant will be required to
  • Provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months)
  • Provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16
  • Provide a satisfactory Anglicare-assessed medical
  • Provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver's Licence

On commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.

This position is available for an immediate start and applications will be shortlisted upon receipt.
