Tax Manager

Salary: $160,000 – $180,000 package (commensurate with experience)

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join a growing public practice firm. This is a key leadership role for a professional who is technically strong, client-focused, and confident managing a team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee a portfolio of clients, with a focus on privately owned businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, providing both technical guidance and professional support.
  • Review complex tax compliance and advisory work, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on tax and business matters.
  • Drive efficiency, process improvement, and best practice within the tax division.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior leaders on strategy, workflow, and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience working within an Australian public practice accounting firm.
  • Proven experience managing and leading a team.
  • Strong technical skills in both tax compliance and advisory.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
Salary Package
  • $160,000 package – for experienced Tax Managers with a strong technical background and proven client management skills.
  • Up to $180,000 package – for senior-level professionals with 8+ years in Australian public practice, extensive technical expertise, and a track record of successfully managing a team.
