Our Opportunity

Are you a skilled and experienced Early Childhood Education professional with a passion for leading and developing a team? We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Centre Director in the Newcastle area to join our team and oversee the operation of a licensed childcare centre of up to 60 places.

As a Centre Director, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Childcare Educators and Teachers, as well as ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education to children aged 6 months to 5 years.

We are seeking a passionate educator who wants to make the role their own. A full team of friendly and engaging educators await. Ongoing support will be available to you, and the outgoing Director will provide a full and detailed handover to ensure you have the skills and knowledge needed for success.

Your Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operation of the childcare centre, including staffing, budget management, and communication with parents and stakeholders
  • Lead and support the professional development of Childcare Educators and Teachers, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans that support the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times, following all policies and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Foster a positive and inclusive culture that promotes teamwork and respect for diversity
Our Requirements
  • ACECQA approved qualifications in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
