ABC News is seeking expressions of interest from experienced producers, looking to join its Network Desk team based in Sydney, on a casual basis – flexibility to work weekends may be required. Under the guidance of the Newsgathering and International Editors, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and producing stories, predominantly for the ABC's television and Video on Demand audiences. You will work closely with the ABC's respected team of foreign correspondents to craft comprehensive, accurate and engaging content.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a television newsroom in either a production or reporting role.

You will need:

• Experience in TV news package writing.
• A wide knowledge base that covers national and international news.
• Attention to detail, and the ability to produce concise, accurate and engaging content for video audiences.
• The ability to identify and suggest ideas for original stories or fresh angles for national and international coverage.
• Proven ability to work accurately and to deadlines under pressure.
• An understanding of the pace and logistical challenges of television news production is an advantage.
• Proficiency in editing and commissioning innovative graphics is also beneficial.
