What's the Brief?

At its heart, this role is all about looking after our people. You'll be the go-to for managing injury and illness claims – whether work-related or not, physical or psychological – making sure everything runs smoothly and by the book. But it's not just about ticking boxes. You'll help improve how we do things, find smarter ways to support recovery, and bring fresh ideas to keep our claims process as people-friendly and efficient as possible.

Where You'll Make an Impact

  • Manage end-to-end injury and illness claims (both work and non-work related), including psychological and physical cases
  • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of return-to-work plans
  • Liaise with injured employees, managers, insurers, rehab providers, and other stakeholders to ensure progress and compliance
  • Provide expert advice to leaders on workers' comp, rehab, and return-to-work legislation and strategy
  • Oversee workers' comp administration: injury notifications, payroll calculations, and wage reimbursements
  • Conduct insurer claim reviews and monitor claim costs, trends, and premium impacts
  • Support the development of injury and care management tools, training, and reporting frameworks
  • Partner closely with WHS, HR, and service teams to embed best practices across the business

Your Toolkit

  • Accredited Return to Work Coordinator with experience managing both physical and psychological claims
  • Deep understanding of WHS and workers' comp legislation, with the ability to translate it into clear, practical advice
  • You're self-motivated, organised, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities without missing a beat
  • A strong communicator who builds trust and confidence across all levels - from frontline staff to external providers
  • You've got a proactive mindset and love continuous improvement - you don't just follow process, you make it better
  • Confident with data and reporting - you know your way around claims dashboards and Excel sheets
  • You're approachable, compassionate, and bring a calm presence during challenging moments
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, but equally comfortable working independently
