Consultant Year 1 – 9: $397,264 - $504,517 per annum

About the Role and Health Campus

We're expanding our team at Geraldton Health Campus Emergency Department, the Regional Resource Centre for the Midwest. We provide comprehensive emergency services and support outlying facilities via telehealth. Our blended medical model includes FACEMs, experienced Senior Medical Practitioners, Registrars, and Residents, with a strong teaching culture. We host GP, ACEM, and CICM trainees, and our senior doctors have dedicated non-clinical time for leadership, education, and quality care initiatives.

We are also undergoing an exciting redevelopment. Once completed, the Geraldton Health Campus will feature an expanded, state-of-the-art Emergency Department, a new ICU and High Dependency Unit and integrated mental health service with an adult inpatient unit and short stay unit. Planning is also underway to establish a radiation oncology service with a LINAC as part of this redevelopment, ensuring we can deliver world-class, safe, and sustainable care for our Midwest communities into the future.

Requirements:

  • Be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.

    • Have Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine or equivalent.

      • Have substantial postgraduate medical experience in emergency medicine andhospital practice.
