Macmahon are seeking an experienced Underground Alternate Project Manager to join our dynamic Underground Contracting team at the Boston Shaker project. This role is pivotal in ensuring that underground projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, aligning with client expectations.

About you

• Integrate and maintain safe systems of work across operations fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
• Adequately resource operations in consultation with mine management to ensure plans are achieved efficiently.
• Prepare, maintain, and implement site financial models and budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
• Maintain a safe and reliable fleet to deliver business objectives, minimising downtime and optimising performance.
• Monitor and manage key performance indicators to drive productivity and continuous improvement.
• Ensure thorough reporting and investigation of incidents to prevent recurrence and enhance safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, company policies, and procedures, maintaining high operational standards.
• Ensure adequate training and development of personnel to mitigate exposure to hazards and optimise team skills.
• Initiate underground mining efficiencies with input from your onsite leadership team, driving innovation and best practices.
• A tertiary qualification in mining engineering or previous experience as a mine foreman required.
• WA first class mine managers certificate of competency required.
