The purpose of this role is to process, verify, and decide on residential mortgage credit submissions (new business & variations) from the WPB Distribution Network. The role involves determining the suitability of security and appropriate Loan to Valuation ratios, making recommendations to higher authorities on loans outside of delegated limits, and providing high-quality service to assist WPB Distribution Channels in achieving AOP targets while maintaining a focus on risk management and compliance with credit policy.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Analyse, verify, and decide on residential loan proposals.
  2. Exercise a high degree of commercial acumen, ensuring all submissions satisfy the Bank's policies and legislative guidelines.
  3. Build and maintain value-based, constructive working relationships with key internal and external customers.
  4. Serve as a reference point for WPB distribution channel staff for lending inquiries and assist with their training, coaching, and development.
  5. Assist in providing ongoing training, guidance, and support to WPB Distribution Channel staff, including branch visits.
  6. Ensure compliance with all audit and regulatory requirements and that relevant reports are completed promptly.
  7. Process all credit-related applications efficiently and timely.
  8. Prepare files and registers for audits, regulatory visits, etc.
  9. Participate in and manage various related projects as they arise.
  10. Maintain satisfactory monthly Quality Assurance results.
