What's the role?

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Lead DevOps Engineer to join the Enterprise DevOps Team. This role is responsible for designing, building, and supporting new DevOps pipelines, templates, tools, and services, focusing on creating repeatable patterns and a reusable library of components. This role plays a key part in advancing our cloud orchestration capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in development and/or DevOps, with strong expertise in Azure and/or AWS. They will deliver fit-for-purpose, scalable, and operationally ready solutions to support platform consumers and orchestrations. The role also involves mentoring and supporting engineering team members to achieve team objectives and develop their skills. A strong understanding of Agile methodologies at scale is essential, along with the ability to improve processes within their scope.

What do I need?

  • Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines at enterprise scale.
  • Familiarity with Linux (RHEL), Windows OS, databases, and networking.
  • Experience with Chef development, including cookbooks, data bags, policy files, and InSpec, and managing Chef infrastructure in standalone and clustered setups.
  • Proven experience with Ruby or Python solutions.
  • Experience leading design and development of infrastructure and application deployment.
  • Cloud solution development and deployment via automated pipelines.
  • Experience with orchestration via cloud APIs and IaC tools like Terraform and HashiCorp stack.
  • DevOps pipeline and test automation framework integration, with a focus on software testing.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders, and independently in a fast-paced environment.
